Malware warning!

It seems that after the recent Dreamhost security issue, malware scripts were installed on ALL .php files (hundreds of them, impossible to clean up manually). Therefore please, run an anti-virus software on your computer if you've been to any of my domains!

I have contacted Dreamhost and am trying to find a solution to clean my sites without having to delete them all. :(

Edit: The infected files have been cleaned up. Please let me know if you notice anything broken as a result.

Apparently the email I sent out a while ago didn't reach everyone, so here it is again:

Last month, Dreamhost had some security issues and had to re-set all FTP accounts. Therefore, if you find you cannot log into your account to update your site, please contact me and I'll give you a new password.

So far it only hosts Jules' popslash, but in the next couple of weeks (before I'm leaving for two months in Haiti) my own fic archive will finally re-open.

It has come to my notice that the stories in the Monaboyd.net archive are currently unavailable and it's impossible to log in.

I'm assuming this is connected with Dreamhost changing my database server; however, so far I've been unable to find the path in the archive files. It looks as if I might have to try to upgrade the efiction script and hope that that'll fix it, so please bear with me!

Edit: I ran into problems trying to upgrade. Anyone more web-savvy than me willing to help me out?

Agh. Dreamhost moved my databases to another server recently - and I just noticed that apparently in the process the fanlistings script I'm using was broken. Seeing that I'm hosting quite a number of fanlistings on Fandomish.net, it might take me a while to fix this. :(

Thanks to the generous people at help_haiti, offering services in exchange for donations to support Haiti, I aquired the services of a couple of talented web designers/coders. This means that I might finally be able to re-open my fic archive, in its new home on PronandChocolate.net in the not-too-distant future - and the whole site network will receive a make-over, too!

Talking Haiti - I am willing to host personal and fannish websites on my domains in exchange for donations to support the relief effort of Partners in Health, Red Cross, MSF and other reputable agencies.

When I tried to upgrade Wordpress just now, I got an internal server error and the whole blog seems to be down. I hope the issue will be resolved soon!

Dreamhost is apparently having some server issues (again), so currently all my domains seem to be down. Let's hope this'll get fixed soon!

If you run a self-hosted WP blog (i.e. not on Wordpress.com) and haven't upgraded to the latest version, it is imperative that you read this post about a recent attack and how to see whether you've been affected.

Of my own 3 WP blogs, none had their permalinks changed, but I discovered a hidden Administrator account in In Foreign Parts. I seem to have been able to get rid of it following the instructions from here and here, so let's hope for the best...

Oh, and obviously, upgrade!

I hopefully managed to clean up both sites, so they're back up.

However, my fanfiction archive The Reading Room currently seems a total mess. Worst of all, all my pages have disappeared. Right now I simply do not have the time or energy to deal with this, so I'm afraid that for the time being I'm closing the site.
